Chu He was framed by the Noble Consort during the draft. Supposed to be made a consort, she didn't even get to see the Emperor's face before Emperor Pei Lin issued an imperial decree bestowing her in marriage to Prince Su, Pei Changfeng. As they spent time together, Pei Changfeng went from being unruly to cherishing Chu He with all his heart. At a banquet, Pei Lin discovered that the sweetheart he had been bitterly searching for over the years turned out to be Chu He, and upon learning the truth, he was filled with regret and too late to fix it. In order to snatch Chu He back, Pei Lin set up expedition traps to make things difficult for Pei Changfeng, while Chu He remained clear-headed and ultimately reaped happiness.
