When Lu Jiaoyang, the daughter of a general, was little, she longed for an older brother. By chance, she mistakenly brought Crown Prince Zhao Jingheng home, becoming famous overnight for the feat. After her coming-of-age ceremony, no one dared to approach her family to propose a marriage. Years later, she reunites with the crown prince at the academy, and the two gradually develop feelings for each other while studying there. At a palace banquet, her father asks the emperor to let the crown prince marry into their family, but the request is rejected. She then decides to take the military examinations and become the top-ranked martial candidate. The crown prince merely smiles and asks her to "bring him home again." In the end, they each compromise and happily seal their engagement.
