Lin Zhige, an elite special forces operative, accidentally travels through time while carrying out a mission at Langya Ridge. Reborn in the 1980s, he finds himself inhabiting the body of another man with the same name, a worthless gambling addict despised by everyone. The original owner gambled obsessively and had no moral boundaries. Not only did he squander all the family's savings and rack up enormous loan-shark debts, but he even attempted to steal the money his biological daughter, Niuniu, desperately needed for life-saving medicine, driving his wife, Jiang Yueyao, and his seriously ill daughter to the brink of despair.
