Lu Jingzhou, a Celestial Master from Mount Longhu, is schemed against by the Ji and Song families, who steal his spiritual sight. Disguising himself as a blind man, he descends the mountain to settle old scores. At the Ji family's matriarch's birthday banquet, he uses soul-summoning incense to put an end to the eldest young master of the Ji family, gradually exposing the wealthy family's dark secrets of borrowed lives and exchanged souls while battling the Song family's dark arts. He then uncovers the Lin family's conspiracy involving a fake heiress, dismantles one sinister substitute scheme after another, defeats a deadly formation set by a black-robed rogue cultivator, and confronts his treacherous uncle-master. In the end, Lu Jingzhou reopens his Heavenly Eye, purges the evil cultivators of Jiangnan, and finds lasting happiness with Qingluan, returning to the simple joys of everyday life.
