Fisherman Lu Dashan of Qingshi Town rescued the orphan girl Qingqing from the river and adopted her despite his poverty. Qingqing was innocent and clever, able to understand the whispers of water spirits, guiding him to discover a living spring and fish out fish and lotus roots, bringing the struggling family back to life. Faced with competition and obstruction from merchants, the family united as one, resolved the crisis with wisdom and courage, and finally developed the living spring brand, leading the whole village to prosperity. Qingqing officially became Lu's daughter, welcoming a reunion.
