Ordered by her master Qingyang Zi, Lin Siyao descends the mountain with three letters of engagement, breaking off engagements while collecting debts. First, she breaks off with Bai Yanyu and reclaims the Bai family shares, then encounters the poisoned, wheelchair-bound Su Shiyan, uncovering the poisoning scheme by Su Jingde and the Qin family. The second engagement target, Qin Yuan, is actually the son of an enemy, and his father Qin Cangfeng is an expelled disciple of Qingyang Zi. Qin Cangfeng poisons Qingyang Zi, and Lin Siyao saves her master while exposing the crimes of the Qin family. In the end, Lin Siyao breaks off all her old engagements and personally chooses Su Shiyan. Su Shiyan also regains control of the Su family.
