Bankrupted after three years of combating desertification, Lin Ye perishes in a sandstorm and is on the verge of death, unexpectedly awakening the superpower to understand animal language. He is saved by a Henan-accented desert fox named Da Fu, and further discovers a mysterious ancient spring underground that nourishes all things. When a black-hearted mine owner covets the water source and attempts a forced demolition, a Sichuan-accented golden eagle and Beijing-accented Bactrian camels arrive consecutively to pledge allegiance, forming an animal legion to repel the evil-doers. Subsequently, using the ancient spring water, he cultivates sky-high priced cistanche and desert black truffles, holding his head high at an auction. He then foils a hypocritical professor's conspiracy colluding with overseas capital, and suppresses an international poaching syndicate hunting Przewalski's horses. With the assistance of hundreds of beasts, he maps out a gigantic underground subterranean river, transforming the deadly Gobi Desert into a national special-grade ecological protection zone.
