Retired meteorological veteran Lei Weiguo takes his wife to join a budget plateau tour group, single-mindedly protecting his loved one's safe sightseeing. Facing a salesman's fictionalized rainstorm intimidation to extort money, as well as fellow tourists' blind following and sneers, he holds old instruments to calmly refute the lies. However, plateau convection weather is treacherous and unpredictable, and a true rainstorm crisis follows one after another. Relying on his sterling cloud-watching skills, this persistent veteran turns danger into safety, leading everyone through the wind and rain toward the peak of the Golden Mountain.
