This drama tells the story of Lin Xiuyu, the owner of Fumanlu Restaurant, who faces the corruption and harassment of back-kitchen tyrant Peng Honglong with firm refusal to compromise, and invites her country-cook cousin Chen Dazhu to resolve the crisis. Relying on his superb culinary skills, Chen Dazhu shines brilliantly in multiple crises and cooking competitions. The two ultimately join hands to expose Peng Honglong's wicked acts of sabotaging water pipes and lining his own pockets with public funds, bringing him to punishment and forcing him to return all ill-gotten money, while Fumanlu also wins a thriving business with conscience dishes.
