After being scammed in an online romance, Chen Yuan is drinking alone at home to drown his sorrows. Just then, an Innate Dao Embryo from the Heavenly Realm escapes to the mortal world and binds itself to him in a symbiotic bond. The Innate Dao Embryo possesses the power of the Law to enlighten one person, but the drunken Chen Yuan uses his wish to 'never be deceived again' to bind that power. Just as the Innate Dao Embryo despairs and gives up, Chen Yuan produces a scam text message he previously received, in which little Nezha begs him to send money for help. After Chen Yuan transfers the money as instructed, he actually receives Nezha's assistance. Thus, a man and an embryo embark on a journey to defy heaven and change their destinies.
