Chen Chi is a reserved cybersecurity engineer at Jiangcheng's leading cybersecurity company, with little presence in social circles. One day, as he arrives at work, a woman named Qi Yue confronts him outside the company building. In front of all his colleagues, she accuses Chen Chi of having been in an online relationship with her for three months through a dating app, swindling her out of 300,000 yuan under the pretext that his father was seriously ill and needed medical expenses, then disappearing. Completely bewildered, Chen Chi insists that he does not know Qi Yue and has never registered for any dating app. Believing someone has impersonated him to commit online fraud, he immediately reports the case to the police. After investigating, the police discover that all the evidence points to Chen Chi's good friend, Wang Xiao.
