Song Shiwei, an illegitimate daughter of the prime minister's mansion, accidentally shares a room with the ascetic Prince Regent Pei Jingyuan. A month later, Song Shiwei discovers at a medical clinic that she is pregnant with twins. At this time, facing the predicament of her biological mother's tragic death and her father forcing her to be a concubine for a dashing-ward-off-evil-spirits wedding, Song Shiwei is forced to reveal the fact of her pregnancy, but she suffers abuse and beatings. Just as she is about to be beaten to cause a miscarriage, Pei Jingyuan, who now knows he misunderstood Song Shiwei, rushes to save her. His guilt gradually turns into overbearing love, and the two misunderstand each other before finally falling in love.
