Shen Yichen, chairman of Chenyuan Industries, conceals his fortune worth tens of billions and takes a taxi to his high school reunion wearing an old shirt. His status-conscious classmates push him aside to the serving area and grill him about his income and whether he owns a home. Only his old classmate Chen Dalei treats him with genuine kindness. As everyone scrambles for industrial park projects and falsifies accounts, Shen Yichen watches quietly under his ordinary identity. He helps Chen Dalei win a maintenance contract through his craftsmanship while exposing Gao Hongtao's gang and their schemes of cutting corners and fraudulently collecting payments for commercial units. In the end, Shen reveals his true identity, stands by his principles, and gains both friendship and love.
