Corporate slave Lin Xiaoxiao transmigrates into a novel as a cannon fodder outer disciple of the Lingyun Sect, bound to the Villain Salvation System. She must protect the Demon Lord Ye Wuyuan until the ending, or else she will be obliterated. At the start, she unexpectedly transforms into a soft, cute red panda, and is abducted back to the Demon Palace by the karma-fire-plagued Ye Wuyuan to serve as an ice pack. With human and beast talking past each other, hilarious moments abound. As she neutralizes the karma fire and completes missions to save her life, she discovers that she herself is the living eye of the ancient Water Spirit Pearl formation. During the righteous-demonic war, she cuts out her natal pearl to save Ye Wuyuan, ultimately reaping a happy ending of freely shuttling between the two realms.
