Hu Xiuer, a young fox spirit, descends from the mountains to live with her older cousin, Hu Yuner. She has just three wishes: to play with a smartphone, wear skirts, and roast whole chickens. After arriving in the city, she gets into one hilarious situation after another, mistaking QR code scanning for magic, an elevator for a prison cell, and earning only five yuan from community recycling. Her attempts at livestream selling also run into setbacks. Across the hall live two traditional artisans, Shouguan and Shoukong, who work in cultural and creative crafts. Unexpectedly, they eventually become her livestreaming partners.
