Liu Dong partnered with his maternal uncle, Chen Jiangong, to run a new-energy vehicle repair shop for eight years. He mastered the city's only core technology for precision repairs of the three electric systems, keeping the entire business afloat, yet his uncle exploited him for years and paid him with scrap batteries instead of wages. Heartbroken, Liu Dong cut ties and established his own shop, Dongsheng Auto Repair, which quickly became popular thanks to his genuine technical skills and excellent reputation. To suppress Liu Dong, his uncle colluded with unscrupulous dealers to use refurbished battery cells and secretly replace original factory parts, causing a major vehicle fire and safety accident. He ultimately went bankrupt and landed in prison. Liu Dong earned a national-level technical certification through his own abilities and became a benchmark in the industry. Meanwhile, his uncle's family fell into ruin and begged for mercy, but Liu Dong firmly refused, leaving them to suffer the consequences of their own actions.
