At the turn of the millennium, fisherman Zhao Haifeng was exploited to death by his uncle's family in his previous life, ultimately losing his life at sea. On the day he is reborn, he saves his childhood sweetheart, Lin Xiuzhu, from a forced marriage at her wedding. Thanks to the Divine Dragon Jade Pendant she gives him, he awakens the inheritance of the Eastern Sea Divine Dragon. He boldly steals the bride in front of everyone and demands a family separation. Taking Xiuzhu and his younger sister, Lin Xiaoman, along on a leaky old boat, he sets out to forage for seafood and strikes it rich. Step by step, he builds aquaculture bays, cold-storage facilities, and an offshore fishing fleet. His business expands from Qingsha Wharf to the provincial capital and Hong Kong markets, while the Li father and son, who grew rich through Xiuzhu in his previous life, are brought to ruin. Finally, he leads his family and fleet toward the mysterious Seven-Colored Open Sea, embarking on an entirely new voyage.
