The Powerful Relatives Behind the Counter
Lin Wan is a bank teller at a rural commercial bank in a county town. Her relatives often mistakenly believe that she can pull strings at the bank. After her aunt He Guiying and cousin Lin Jianjun pressure her to bend the rules and she refuses, they take Xiaoman, who is suffering from severe pneumonia, out of the hospital and leave her in the care of their cousin Mi Lan, who treats her with unlicensed medicinal liquor. They also invest their savings in a fraudulent pre-IPO stock scheme, while Lin Wan's father nearly loses his leg after receiving massage treatment. Determined to uphold her principles, Lin Wan continues working while gathering evidence and reporting the crimes, taking on the criminal gang operating behind the scenes.
