The fantasy animated mini-series Dharma Lamp Inspects the Road tells the story of Yue Zhiyuan, a former junior lamp-bearer who relies on ordinary dharma lamps to observe the deflection of flame roots and read the hidden dangers of barren Dao spirit fields. He fights against the supreme concept of map divine consciousness believed by Chi Xuance, a high-tier guide, breaking through rigorous assessments and large-scale trade route trials all the way from caravan rescue missions. Relying on a replicable lamp-reading method, he establishes a distributed guiding system, rewrites the evaluation standards of the barren Dao industry, and achieves the career legend of a bottom-tier practitioner.
