Carrying an ancient heritage, Xiaoman descends with the founding patriarch's order upon the imperiled Ciyun Sect. The sect bears a massive spirit stone debt and must clear the arrears, revive the spirit fields, and restart the elixir room within forty-nine days to preserve its sect registration. Xiaoman possesses the special talent of perceiving the emotions of ancient artifacts and spiritual plants, but can only receive fragmented clues, leaving decisions and actions entirely to the sect members. Sect leader Gu Changqing, Lu Chen, and others join hands to revitalize the sect and counter the multiple schemes of Xie Wuchen, the young master of Xiaoxiao Sect. Everyone sets aside interest conflicts to jointly guard the sect's foundation, leaving a foreshadowing mystery of background at the end of the story.
