The tiger helps the old woman drive out the evil spirit, but this provokes the Weasel Immortal's revenge, bringing wild boars to ravage the village and contaminating its water supply. The old woman and the tiger join forces to defeat the Weasel Immortal, but the old woman is struck by a blood curse. Her daughter-in-law and the tiger risk their lives to gather a thousand-year-old lingzhi mushroom and save her. A greedy Taoist priest falsely accuses the Tiger Immortal of being a demon. To protect the old woman and her daughter-in-law, the Tiger Immortal sacrifices himself to shield them from disaster. Finally, Bodhisattva Guanyin enlightens him, and the Tiger Immortal gives up his immortal status to remain in the mortal world, protecting the two women and their village.
