Su Ruoxue, an aquatic sciences student from an agricultural university, finds herself transported into the body of a noblewoman convicted of treason and exiled to Ryukyu. Just as she is about to be thrown into a brutal labor camp, she sets her sights on Xiao Chen, a rugged centurion with the highest military merits, and boldly proposes that they join forces and build a life together. She initially thinks she has secured a reliable provider for the long term, only to discover that he is actually a modern-day engineering genius from Harbin Institute of Technology who has also traveled back in time. She possesses a wood-element supernatural ability and expertise in aquaculture and farming, while he excels in chemical engineering and physics and can invent all kinds of devices. Starting from a dilapidated hut, the two grow vegetables, refine pure salt, make soap, and even develop firearms to repel Japanese pirates. On a barren island, they fight their way toward a peaceful and prosperous life.
