Zhou An has his fertile farmland forcibly seized by the clan patriarch and is betrayed by his fiancée Li Jing, being driven along with his gravely ill mother to the rocky, barren mountains. In the depths of despair, he digs up a millennial Taisui, uses the Taisui spiritual liquid to cure his mother, and cultivates top-grade wild ginseng. By a fortuitous encounter, he saves a wealthy merchant from the provincial capital, gaining capital and connections to launch his rise. Facing joint suppression from pharmaceutical industry giants, he relies on Taisui's miraculous power to turn the tides and shatter his opponents' schemes. Eventually, Zhou An establishes a pharmaceutical commercial empire, mother and son reach the summit, and the former perpetrators are reduced to bottom-feeder laborers, completing a deeply satisfying counterattack.
