Shen Zhiyi secretly pays 30 million yuan toward an investment for her husband, Lu Chengze, and even arranges luxurious suites for the whole family’s vacation in Lancheng. However, on the day of departure, Lu Chengze gives the front passenger seat to his first love, Su Wanning, and leaves Shen Zhiyi, his wife of seven years, stranded by the roadside along with the rest of his family. Unable to catch her flight, she watches as the Lu family and Su Wanning take a so-called family portrait. Her heart turns completely cold. She immediately halts the investment and cancels all subsequent hotel reservations. When the Lu family learns the news at the hotel, they fly into a rage and demand an explanation. Shen Zhiyi responds coldly and takes back everything she has given them.
