After failing his heavenly tribulation, cultivation practitioner Lin Yi returns to the mortal world and is taken in by his great-granddaughter Lin Miaomiao. Dressed in Taoist robes and with white hair, he appears in the modern metropolis, unexpectedly stepping into the public eye through a live network stream. Lin Yi reunites with old acquaintances from the past, unties the knots of many years, and recovers the warmth of ordinary life in the companionship of his great-granddaughter. From the clouds to the human world, he lets go of the past and stays content in the present, realizing the true sense of belonging in ordinary days—someone waiting for you to come home is another kind of fulfillment.
