Reborn, Fu Wan gains the supernatural ability to breathe underwater thanks to a pearl in her belly. Her greedy and domineering mother-in-law conspires with her husband to torment her in every possible way, even forcing her head into a water vat to make her spit out the pearl. Fortunately, villagers intervene and rescue her. Fu Wan decides to divorce her husband and return to her parents' home with her daughter. Her elder brother is injured and despondent, and the family is struggling financially. Relying on her special ability, she ventures into the sea to gather seafood, catch fish, and harvest abalone, earning money to treat her brother and support her family. Along the way, she saves a little girl from drowning and receives kindness from her neighbors. From then on, she protects her loved ones and builds a peaceful life through her own abilities.
