During a video call, braised food shop owner Zhou Xiulan senses that her daughter, far away overseas, is in an abnormal situation. Accompanied by her son, she travels far to the local area and, with the assistance of kind-hearted people, finds her daughter and other trapped compatriots. Criminals, harboring resentment, take others hostage in an attempt to obstruct them. Actively contacting the embassy, local police personnel, and Chinese compatriots, Zhou Xiulan collaborates across multiple fronts to investigate and handle the involved personnel in accordance with the law, successfully rescuing everyone, returning safely to her country with her daughter and compatriots, and welcoming a joyful reunion for the New Year.
