Zhao Ming returns to his hometown and helps Hou Niu Village raise Chinese hooksnout carp, hoping to lead the villagers to prosperity. He offers high prices for their fish, builds his own cold-chain transportation system, and secures partnerships with upscale supermarkets. However, the villagers become greedy, demand unreasonable price increases, and deliberately spread slander against him. Furious, Zhao Ming stops buying their fish and instead helps the honest villagers of Qian Niu Village develop their businesses. Meanwhile, the people of Hou Niu Village transport their own fish using prohibited drugs in violation of regulations.
