After Lin Feng awakens an F-rank "useless Martial Soul," his life hits rock bottom. By an unexpected stroke of luck, he obtains a cheat ability: the "Primordial Chat Group." Quietly growing stronger, he eventually stages one comeback after another during the academy examinations and competitions, transforming from a bullied good-for-nothing into the academy's biggest dark horse. He ultimately faces Su Han, the academy's strongest genius, in the final. Lin Feng and Su Han are both selected for the regional competition. Director Zhang conspires with Chu Kuang to harm Lin Feng in the arena, but Chu Kuang is killed by Lin Feng in retaliation. The Shadow Hall intervenes, but the Tianshu Pavilion, which stands behind Su Han, steps forward to protect Lin Feng. During the regional competition, Wang Hao and the Shadow Hall attempt to eliminate Lin Feng in the arena, but he counters their schemes using cultivation techniques obtained through the Primordial Chat Group.
