I Make You a Superstar, You Think Working Is Beneath You, So I Let a Substitute Wear the Golden Boot
The story follows football agent Bi Zequan and player Cai Yan, from partnership to bitter estrangement, and how Bi Zequan cultivates a new star, He Mu, who rises against the odds. Bi Zequan spends three years turning Cai Yan, a poor kid wearing counterfeit football boots, into a top football star earning millions a year. Yet just before a 6-million-yuan endorsement fee arrives, Cai Yan terminates their contract and insults him with a humiliating commission offer. Furious, Bi Zequan turns to promising newcomer He Mu, secures the endorsement for him, brings in top-tier resources, and helps him shine on the field for Zhongzhou United. Meanwhile, Cai Yan's career takes a sharp downturn as injuries, his exposed romance, and insults directed at fans after a loss ruin his reputation. He is eventually dismissed by the club and reduced to menial work at the stadium. Through contrasting flashbacks, the drama highlights the professional agent's foresight and the player's shortsightedness, revealing their fateful reversal of fortunes.
