Lu Zheng, a business tycoon of the 21st century, dies in a snowmobile racing accident after being caught in an avalanche in the mountains. His soul travels through time to the foot of Baishan Mountain in Northeast China in the 1980s, possessing the body of a notorious gambling addict. From the very beginning, he finds himself trapped in a desperate situation as heavy snowfall seals off the mountains. The original owner has gambled away the family's entire fortune and intends to hand over his wife, Lin Xue, and his young sister-in-law, Lin Shuang, to the village bully Liu Quezi to settle his debts. The two sisters are starving, freezing, and on the brink of death. Lu Zheng activates the Disaster-Year Trading Mall System. Using his business acumen from his previous life and the system's special advantages, he starts by digging for wild ginseng to trade for food and wrestling wild boars with his bare hands, gradually easing his family's fear and distrust.
