In the 1990s, Wang Jianguo was a highly skilled technician at a state-owned factory. His brother-in-law, Li Decai, tricked him into quitting his secure factory job by promising him a partnership in the business based on his technical skills. After three years of hard work, he received a mere 300 yuan in dividends and endured constant humiliation from his mother-in-law and brother-in-law. Furious, he opened his own repair shop right across the street. With his outstanding skills and honest business practices, he dispelled rumors and fought back head-on. He went on to become the national champion in home appliance repair, transforming himself from an oppressed technician into the owner of a chain of repair shops and reclaiming his dignity through skill and integrity.
