Yuan Chen, the supreme ruler who commands the Three Thousand Worlds, is weary of the boundless solitude of endless ages. He chooses to seal away his supreme divine power while retaining all his memories, entering the mortal world to undergo trials. Amid the bustle of human life, he takes Lin Yan, a destitute yet righteous-hearted young man, as his disciple. As they travel through the world, they uncover a dark force called Void Corrosion, which erodes the world's foundations and amplifies the darkness in human nature. At the brink of life and death, Yuan Chen unseals his primordial power and eradicates the threat once and for all. In the end, he passes his position as supreme ruler to the now-grown Lin Yan, relinquishes his authority, and freely wanders among the mountains, rivers, and everyday life of the mortal world.
