In the underwater city, an ancestral rule demands that whenever seawater floods back into the Dragon Abyss, a young mermaid maiden must be sacrificed to the Eye of the Sea. In her previous life, Jiang Wantang saved the Black Dragon Crown Prince and received a dragon-scale jade pendant as a betrothal token, marrying into the Dragon Palace. Her stepsister, chosen as the sacrifice, met a tragic death. Reborn, Jiang Wantang watches as her stepsister snatches the token of the Dragon Consort and takes her place. On the day of the sea sacrifice, the true bride and the impostor board the same boat. Jiang Wantang leaps into the sea, and a dragon's roar echoes from the depths. The true Dragon Consort finally takes her rightful place, while her stepsister realizes her mistake too late.
