A fierce wife matches a feigned foolish prince, first establishing prestige and then standing firm. Wen Xining, who transmigrated over, takes the place of an unfavored concubine-born daughter of the prime minister's estate and is forced to marry a prince viewed by the world as foolish. The estate's steward probes and tries to manipulate her at every turn, while the empress and the second prince secretly plot and suppress her. Wen Xining faces matters with poise, capable of overpowering and embarrassing difficult guests at banquets as well as entering the palace to confront the empress's pressure. She sees through the endurance and pain hidden beneath the prince's disguise, and the two open their hearts to one another, joining forces to expose layer upon layer of deep palace political schemes and securely safeguarding a corner of the prince's estate.
