Su Qinglan, a top marine science graduate, quits her job and returns to her hometown, only to find its tidal flats blackened and its coastal waters devoid of fish. Along the way, they face repeated crises: intimidation by fishing bosses, price suppression by middlemen, and malicious rumors. They lead villagers in forming a cooperative, renovating workshops, and building an ecological boardwalk overlooking the tidal flats. They even win over stubborn old fishermen and establish a sustainable, circular marine farming system. The once-barren, polluted tidal flats are transformed into a treasure bay with clear waters and abundant shellfish. Su Qinglan and Jiang Yu build a life together by the sea and mountains, while freely sharing their marine conservation and prosperity-building expertise with other communities, achieving a mutually beneficial relationship between people and the ocean.
