In the 90s, I Kicked My Way Out of Hard Times
Set in the 1990s, this uplifting comeback drama follows Tie Zhu, who was timid and submissive in his previous life, allowing his family to suffer countless indignities. Reborn, he resolves to change everything. He firmly puts his troublemaking sister-in-law in her place, starts out hauling goods, and gradually upgrades his transport equipment as he embarks on his entrepreneurial journey. Facing malicious extortion by the local thug Qiangzi and vicious competition and frame-ups by fellow transporter Zhao Laosan, Tie Zhu and his wife, Su Wanyue, stand together through thick and thin. With the righteous help of Lao Zhou, a mechanic, they overcome numerous setbacks, expose a conspiracy involving collusion with criminal forces, and clear their names. In the end, Tie Zhu pools resources to establish a freight team, creates jobs for villagers in the surrounding area, and becomes a well-known local transport magnate. His family finally enjoys a harmonious and prosperous life.
