Spring at Old Zhou's Recycling Shop: Part One
Zhou Zhenggang runs a used-appliance recycling shop in the western part of the city. He sorts electrical components that can be reused and repurposes them into practical household items with a few simple modifications. When neighbors' appliances develop minor faults, he often helps repair them on the spot. He has also helped an elderly person living alone get an old radio working again and refurbished a sturdy secondhand storage rack for office workers. Neighbors frequently drop by the shop for a chat and exchange tips on repurposing old items. Day after day, the little secondhand shop is filled with the warmth and harmony of neighborhood life, and ordinary interactions are full of kindness and goodwill.
