The dragon has nine sons, each majestic. But Dragon Father does not know he has a tenth son: a little hamster named Cangcang. Before her passing, mother told him his heritage, because she felt she had "no particular skill" and feared the child would meet danger. Bearing a dragon scale and cheeks full of melon seeds, Cangcang embarks on the path to find his father, finding his nine older brothers one by one, each of whom hides a secret concerning "Shi". Shi pursues and kills all the way, wanting to swallow Cangcang's cheeks that can never be filled. In the end, Cangcang discovers that Shi turns out to be the other half of himself abandoned by Dragon Father. He uses the softest "cang" to swallow the deepest darkness, ascending to become the "God of Storing Blessings", and the nine sons are reunited.
