Ten years ago, Gu Changchuan guarded the Qingshi Sluice to save the people, but fell into a decade of self-exile due to the disappearance of his wife and daughter in a flood. Later living in an ancient-style town, a milky-gold little golden dragon, Manman, barged into his life. With innocent companionship and her "worry line" superpower, Manman gradually peeled away Gu Changchuan's indifferent shell. With the reconstruction of the old Qingshi Canal, the heroic truth of his wife and daughter sacrificing themselves to save others ten years ago surfaced. Ultimately, with the support of everyone, Gu Changchuan let go of his mental knots, picked up the responsibility of a guardian, and completed a relay of life about courage, redemption, and mutual guardianship together with Manman.
