The Ledger in the Dowry Chest
On her 60th birthday, Qin Fang gives two resettlement apartments to her second and third daughters, but leaves an old dowry chest to her eldest daughter, Shen Qing, and her son-in-law, Xu Cheng. Hidden inside are a ledger of her family's debts and documents related to loan sharks. When the truth comes to light, Shen Qing discovers that her mother and younger sisters conspired to deceive her. With Xu Cheng's help, she gathers evidence and uncovers the hidden circumstances surrounding her father's death. Determined to stop shouldering her family's debts, she ultimately cuts ties with her birth family and confronts the harm she has caused her husband and daughter.
