Ye Chen was once the live-in son-in-law of the Shen family. After donating his kidney to his wife, Shen Aoxue, he was betrayed by the Shen family in collusion with the Di family, who stole his second kidney and pushed him off a cliff. On the verge of death, the secluded Killing Emperor saved him, bestowing upon him the Qilin kidney, Qilin blood, the Killing God inheritance, and supreme medical skills. Three years later, Ye Chen returns for revenge, saving his old acquaintance Ning Xin, who had been blinded while investigating the truth. At Shen Aoxue's wedding banquet, he publicly exposes the kidney-theft conspiracy, systematically reckoning with the Shen family, the Xu family, and the disciples of the Heavenly Blue God of War. He finds spiritual medicine to cure Ning's eyes, roots out Di Fengwu, a peripheral minion of the Di family, and unearths the truth about the transfer of kidneys to the imperial capital. The Shen and Xu families are utterly wiped out, and the villains receive their punishments.
