An elderly couple receives 3 million in demolition compensation, pretending to be poor to enter the city and test their biological son, Zhao Zhiqiang. Disdaining the two elders, Zhao Zhiqiang refuses to lend them three thousand yuan and drives them out into a rainy night. Left with nowhere to turn, the old folks turn to their adoptive son, Zhao Xiangyang, whose impoverished family still gives their all to help. The old couple gifts the demolition funds to Xiangyang, leaving Zhao Zhiqiang and his wife harboring deep resentment and cyberbullying them with false traps. The old folks collect evidence to expose the truth before the media, producing a legal deed of gift. On the Mid-Autumn Festival night, a down-and-out Zhao Zhiqiang comes to repent, and the family clears the air and reunites in harmony.
