In a fictional dynasty, Shen Qinghe returns to the abandoned ancestral home with her frail mother, leaving behind only an acre of poor farmland and a leaky small courtyard. The village market is depressed by foreign grain merchants, and the grain grown by the folks with hard work cannot be sold at a good price. Starting from repairing irrigation channels, improving soil, and organizing account books, Qinghe step by step leads everyone to grow high-quality rice. But on the eve of the harvest, the grain merchants secretly break the contract and even want to seize the village's public land. Facing heavy difficulties, Qinghe relies on diligence, honesty, and everyone's cooperation to protect the land, and also welcomes the small village into a true spring.
