Li Suifeng, an undercover agent of the Imperial Brocade Guard, has spent ten years infiltrating the Caobang Gang, only to be abandoned by his superior, Liu Yun, who has also controlled him with a dose of Heart-Withering Powder. On the brink of death, he awakens the Great Ambition System. After killing Liu Yun in a counterattack, he begins his rise to power. Armed with max-level divine martial arts, he carefully builds his influence, takes control of the docks, establishes protection fees to assert his authority, kills a protector of the Red Lotus Sect, befriends Ye Qingmei, the third-ranked fighter on the Human Rankings, and secretly brings Jin Buhuan, the leader of the Sanshui Chain Forts, under his command. While escorting a shipment of ore south, he rescues the Third Princess, Wen San, and receives an inspector's token. On his return, he uses the Shenquan Sect to spark an internal war within the Caobang Gang, kills helmsman Liu Zhenhe amid the chaos, and openly seizes power. After being promoted to elder, he becomes a formidable force throughout Nanzhou. However, Jin Santong joins forces with the Red Lotus Sect to surround and attack him, forcing Li Suifeng to fight his way out in a bloody battle.
