Qin Guangyao picks up a portrait of a beautiful woman. Ignoring his roommate Qi Zhuo's warnings, he begins an ambiguous online romance with Qiao Mengshu, the portrait's owner. With Qi Zhuo's help, he barely escapes alive, but before long Qin Guangyao falls into Qiao Mengshu's trap once again. When his life hangs by a thread, the truth finally emerges: everything is connected to a mistake Qin Guangyao made several years ago.
