Shen Zhixia, a university student born in the 2000s, travels through time via a mysterious bronze mirror and finds herself at Prince Ning's residence, where she meets Prince Ning, Xiao Jingheng. While searching for a way to return home, she temporarily stays at the prince's residence, using her knowledge of landscaping and gardening to save its plants and flowers. Together with Xiao Jingheng and his guard, Chang An, she investigates the bronze mirror's mysterious rules. As their initial wariness and mutual suspicion give way to cooperation, the three gradually build trust. Shen Zhixia also finds her place in the prince's residence, and her feelings for Xiao Jingheng quietly begin to grow. Eventually, the mirror's rules for traveling between the two worlds become stable, giving her the freedom to return home, stay, and come back whenever she wishes, rather than being trapped in either world.
