After Partnering Up, I Relied on Zhou Lishan to Get Rich
In 1978 at the Qingling Production Brigade, Lin Xiuhe, a destitute and widowed woman, struggled to get by with her young sister-in-law. The family was strapped for cash, lacked support, carried external debts, and suffered from neighbors' gossip and harassment. Zhou Lishan, an honest and hardworking hunter, felt compassion and, ignoring the gossip in the village, proactively visited her home to partner up and help out. He kept his word, shouldered all the heavy labor at home, meticulously protected the mother and daughter, and with steady responsibility and gentle favoritism, propped up a heartwarming tale of mutual healing in hard times.
