Pei Ziyu works diligently as an intern at Pei Group, hoping to secure a permanent position, but fellow interns repeatedly target and frame her. Originally patient and tolerant, she mistakenly believes she has terminal cancer while seeking medical attention. Deciding to stop overworking herself and live without restraint, she starts retaliating against anyone who gives her trouble. Her sudden assertiveness leads everyone to mistake her for the heiress of Pei Group. When someone else falsely claims the heiress's identity, Pei Ziyu finds herself in trouble once again. Meanwhile, Gu Xize, the demanding president of Gu Group, learns that his fiancée, Pei Ziyu, is interning at Pei Group. He conceals his identity and joins the company as an intern to assess her character. Believing Gu Xize has no powerful connections, Pei Ziyu helps him out of a difficult situation, only to face retaliation from her superiors. Gu Xize then uses his authority as president to help her turn the tables on those who humiliate her. In the end, Pei Ziyu's true identity is revealed: she really is the heiress of Pei Group.
