Five Hundred Thousand Miles West tells the story of a branch fleet of Zheng He's voyages to the Western Ocean during the Ming Dynasty, which was ordered to bypass the Cape of Good Hope in Africa and enter the Atlantic Ocean, but unfortunately encountered a shipwreck and had to land on an unknown continent. More than 300 survivors faced food shortages, epidemics, and harassment by European pirates. Under the leadership of Qianhu Cai Zhongwu, relying on their strong cultural heritage, organizational ability, and military strength, the fleet members were able to establish a foothold on this continent, unite with local indigenous residents to fiercely attack pirates, farm, hunt, build houses, and spin yarn, establishing a new world. This place was also named "Florida" by them. The film integrates history, adventure, and war, with a fast-paced rhythm.
